ARKive Andean Bear


ARKive as expressed slogan "Images of Life on Earth" is a project which is gathering information on global biological diversity through the updating of information, images, videos and create a diagnostic file for each of the species, this diagnosis is made for information on: general description of the species range and habitat, biology, conservation and glossary of references that support the information provided.

Each card is made by a researcher on the subject, so disinterested, provides information on their investigations and those of his colleagues.

In this case the information about the spectacled or Andean bear ( Tremarctos ornatus) was recently updated by the researcher Fernando Del Moral field, an Argentine who works with the species and recently published information on the occurrence of the spectacled bear in this country. The Update tab is done by incorporating information not only work, but relevant studies conducted by researchers from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia on the subject.
