Ethnozoology spectacled bear in northwestern Argentina and the Venezuelan Andes.


On Friday December 4, 2009 was presented at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Universidad Nacional de Jujuy - Argentina work entitled Traditional knowledge about the spectacled bear ( Tremarctos ornatus ) from the communities of northwest Argentina and in the Venezuelan Andes, areas of southern and northern distribution .

The findings and results of the study will be presented by d esign of an outreach program called: "The legend ucumar gaucho on the Andean bear" adapted to the results in Argentina and "The Wild Bear prota antagonist of the legends of the Venezuelan Andes" for the country's namesake, and exposed himself to the vision ethnozoological is an important tool in the strategies of conservation of the species.
