ConBiVe The Civil Partnership - Biodiversity Conservation Network in conjunction with Venezuelan Andean Bear Project, Juco - Argentina, Venezuelan Society Natural Sciences (SVCN) and organized the I Squares Automercado Workshop on Conservation Biology and Bear Andean in Venezuela held on March 3, 2011 in the Auditorium of the Venezuelan Society of Natural Sciences, Caracas - Venezuela.

The workshop was coordinated by Drai Cabello ConBiVe president, with the master of ceremonies wildlife researcher Salvador Boher which in turn presented the first paper of the workshop; we had the presentation of several papers by Mr. Imaru Lameda Camacaro who talked about conservation of the species in Venezuela, Biomechanics, Environmental Education, Field Biology, Ethnozoology and experience in Venezuela and northwest of Argentina with the work of the Andean bear.

Also featured are the presentations on the situation of Andean bears in zoos Venezuelan biologist by Esmeralda Mujica president the Venezuelan Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Biology dissertation Viviana Salas - Bioparques who spoke on protected areas where the species in Venezuela.

And Red Bear Andino was invited in March 2011 to participate in the "Thinking Green" Time Off In youth program that airs on Channel 11 Telecentre (Barquisimeto - Venezuela). On Monday February 28, 2011 were with young people constitute the Center for Science, Technology and Environmental Education of Ujano Bolivarian High School, located in the city of Barquisimeto, Estado Lara - Venezuela.

The invitation was made by Prof. Guadalupe Gonzalez, who contacted us for the young members of the Science Center to receive information on the biology and conservation of the spectacled bear.

The activity was held in the morning in the auditorium of the state delegation Lara National Parks Institute (INPARQUES) with the presentation of Ms. Imaru Lameda - Camacaro, a researcher, who shared with participants information on the species, threats and strategies for conservation. Among the attendees were students of the science center members, teachers, the director of Environmental Education Lara State Sector Management and University representatives Ranger Group and the Department of Education INPARQUES - Lara.
