ConBiVe The Civil Partnership - Biodiversity Conservation Network in conjunction with Venezuelan Andean Bear Project, Juco - Argentina, Venezuelan Society Natural Sciences (SVCN) and organized the I Squares Automercado Workshop on Conservation Biology and Bear Andean in Venezuela held on March 3, 2011 in the Auditorium of the Venezuelan Society of Natural Sciences, Caracas - Venezuela.
The workshop was coordinated by Drai Cabello ConBiVe president, with the master of ceremonies wildlife researcher Salvador Boher which in turn presented the first paper of the workshop; we had the presentation of several papers by Mr. Imaru Lameda Camacaro who talked about conservation of the species in Venezuela, Biomechanics, Environmental Education, Field Biology, Ethnozoology and experience in Venezuela and northwest of Argentina with the work of the Andean bear.
Also featured are the presentations on the situation of Andean bears in zoos Venezuelan biologist by Esmeralda Mujica president the Venezuelan Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Biology dissertation Viviana Salas - Bioparques who spoke on protected areas where the species in Venezuela.
was also invited a representative of the Office of Biological Diversity , among attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for the Environment to at the end of the activity present and proposed developments that have the entity in terms of Biodiversity in Venezuela.
The workshop was a success by counting with the participation of more than 70 people who throughout the day were attentive to each of the presentations, the workshop attended Diego Diaz Martin, Zoyla Martinez, Isabel Novo NGO Vitalis who joined us as well as Alberto Blanco Rio Verde Magazine and Stephanie Salazar FUNDAVAC .
