At the invitation of Ms. Daniela García, Department of Environmental Education of the Directorate of Education of the Lara State Government, 25 January 2011 in the morning attended Red Andean Bear talking about Tremarctos ornatus in the facilities of Zoo and Botanical barare "located in the city of Barquisimeto, Estado Lara - Venezuela.
The talk was conducted by researcher Imaru Lameda - Camacaro, who spoke on the biology and conservation of the spectacled bear for those attending the activity, mostly children of 4, 5 and 6 grade those accompanied by their teachers and representatives, heard about the need to conserve the only ursid present in the South American Andes.
