Spectacled Bear description at the beginning of the IXX century by FG \u200b\u200bCuvier, (1825), in the publication "Histoire Naturelle des mammifères, pt. 3.5 (50), is designated a new species of the genus Ursus bear the specific name of embellishments (which comes from ornamented or decorated). At the end of the IXX century, the naturalist Adolfo Ernst, (1877) in his work "Idea general fauna of Venezuela ", describes and reports for our mammalian fauna. Cabrera (1957), shows a systematic overview summary of all known works to date, Spectacled Bear and states that "The alleged geographic forms described by various authors are inadmissible, having been based on purely individual differences, such as those found in all species of bears. "
