Semih Kaplanoglu
Semih Kaplanoglu is one of the writers, directors and producers of Turkey's most acclaimed contemporary. For his third film, Yumurta / Egg, was awarded the Best Director Award at festivals Fajr, Valdivia and Bangkok. The film won over thirty awards, which highlight the Golden Orange (Antalya Film Festival) and the Golden Tulip (Festival of Istanbul). His next film, Sut / Milk, had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and was invited to numerous international festivals. Won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Istanbul Festival. The third part of the Trilogy of Yusuf, Bal / Honey, tracks the origin of a soul. As in his previous films, decided not to put music to images.
